The business was started in 2004 by Asiff Amod & Safiya Seedat, a husband and wife team, in Pageview, Johannesburg, occupying only 50 square meters at the time…Asiff an engineer by profession was naturally passionate about inventing, developing and manufacturing new products…and Safiya the accountant ensured that the business was steered in the right direction with every product financially viable. A match made in heaven, don’t you think?
Being quite content with a manufacturing capacity of about 3000 items a month, with every mop and broom handmade and assembled by the owners…it was only due to customer demand for our products that we were forced to expand beyond our wildest expectations.
Advance Brushware now occupies approximately 4000 square metres at our premises in Fordsburg, Johannesburg, with additional manufacturing and warehousing facilities in Durban to cater for our customers further south. We are still expanding our capacity annually in order to keep up with the demand and live up to our mission of supplying quality products at the best prices on time.
With our latest state of the art computerised machines from Europe, we now have the capacity to produce over 500000 brushes, brooms and mops a month!
Our excellent relationships built with our local and international raw material suppliers over the years has resulted in us never being let down on price, quality and supply, and in turn that benefit is passed on to you, the customer.
We are 110% BEE compliant and as part of our social responsibility we’ve supported Epilepsy SA since 2007.
We may have grown, but we haven’t lost the personal touch…we treat our customers like family.
